Who We Support
Finding the right home together
Every referral begins with listening. We take time to understand the young person's story, what is important to them and the support that could help them feel safe, settled and hopeful about the future.
Age range
11–17 years
How we support
We take time to understand each young person's experiences, strengths, wishes, support needs and aspirations, shaping care around who they are and what matters to them.
Placement conversations
We primarily welcome planned enquiries so there is time to listen, build understanding and prepare a thoughtful transition. Where circumstances are urgent, we will have an open conversation about what the young person needs and whether May Meadows can offer the right support.

Initial conversation
Talk to us about the young person and what they need.
Getting to know them
Share what matters to the young person, including their strengths, wishes, routines and the support that would help.
Thinking it through together
We take time with the young person and the people who know them to understand whether May Meadows feels like the right home.
Visit and meet the team
Where possible, the young person can visit, ask questions and begin getting to know the people who may support them.
Planning the move
A thoughtful transition is shaped with the young person so they know what to expect and can move at a pace that supports them.
